Default 7/3/07 - 62"

Crew: EmiJess, SnookIt, and myself... on the EmiJess.

Waited out the storms in front of LHP, then headed out to the 50. Set-up around 9pm. Nothing. Ran south and re-set about 12. Nothing 'til around 2am... got smacked on a deep tip rod at the bow, then started reeling the stern tip rod to entice a bite. Bam! 25lb drag... winched it up to the top of the wind-on, then the fish made a sluggish run downward. Sat about 100ft deep for a while, then started to slowly rise. Got a gaff in it without much commotion. Slapped it on the deck and hog-tied it. Lazy fish. 20 minutes, tops. Average build, 62-incher.

Not much action on the VHF.
