I'm with you Donk. The typical fisherman can calculte the cost of his catch after purchasing the required equipment: boat/insurance/fuel/maintenance/dockage/bait/beer/ice/tackle
Average net cost of fileted fish is $100-200/lb when you can go to Publix and buy it for $10/lb. With the exception of the slob Swordfish catch.

The simplified math approach makes it a no brainer as to which is the "smarter" way to acquire your fish. But, as the credit card commercial says, the experience is "Priceless".

Life is a journey, live as hard and fast as you can. Enjoy the experience while you can, and leave no regrets.
