Very true about those northerly winds slowing the Gulfstream somewhat. What I was refering to was the NOAA satalite estimates putting the West wall of the Gulf Stream at 17.8 Nautical miles east of Port Everglades on January 31st. As always I am very hesitent to believe their estimates. I was interested in some actual reports.

I found that information on the Bouy data site.
