And since 9/11 the US Coast Guard and FL marine patrol are keeping a look out for boats that are not clearing customs and immigration from the Bahamas. I was pulled over just inside the Boynton inlet when I returned last March and they tortured me for over an hour and I was completely legal. I have a documented vessel with US customs sticker and even had a sales receipt for the lobsters and conch that we had on board. I wont even tell you about the problems I had with the Bahamians at West End when they werent there during normal working hours to clear me!! They have really taken the fun out of it, so be careful!!
