We drove down from Orlando on Saturday. Picked up baits from Nick C on the way down and splashed at 1200. Shot through the inlet and set-up for a dolphin troll until lines in. Got one hooked and jumped 4 times until we had a tack mal-function, if anyone finds a 'phin with a hook send it back please!
We set-up on the 50/50 line at around 1900ft.
We picked up and reset around 1930. As were are tieing on the last jug we notice a blue light on the surface. we clear the lines and come tight on the fish after a minor tangle on another line
Landed our first fish at around 2000, his first
Taped out at 52" LJFL/67#, Fish #9 of the Tourney!
We then re-set upstream of our last hook-up and the first line down we see our blue light on the surface again. I suit up and come tight on my first!!!
In came a 49"LJFL/50#, for fish #20. We came for meat so we kept it.
Nothing for the rest of the night except 2 dolphin that showed up/hooked but then put the BIGGEST tangle known to man in our swordlines

. Of course that got broke off after 3 attempts of handlining them from 40ft. down. Dolphin just didn't want to be caught by us today

After that it really started picking up to a 4-6 foot swell that were becoming tighter by the set.
After fixing an electrical problem we ran in.
