My brother has the F150 with the 5.3 V8 2 wheel drive. He throws two 55 gallon drums in the back full of watter and pulls his Raballo(7500 pounds dry) out with no problems, He has about 40K in miles and still no issues.
Remeber this is pulling the boat stopping can be a problem
