I'm thick headed but not so dense as to believe that the fish has no friends around him. Do I think its a joke that a LL could be having a bad trip and say(?), You know what, let's gamble and give it a shot!" Heck no that is not above reality. I've done that Sailfishing. When the bite is off in my area and I hear of a bite in Miami, I will gamble and make the run even though I have nothing to gain. I am still going to get my base rate, either way. If I was gambling on making tens of thousands of dollars more than staying put, I would run as far as my fuel would take me. It only takes one gambler to draw the flush and the rest will follow.
