I'm from New Orleans originally and when I visit I usually stay at my folks house. So a lot of times I just drive down from N.O. at 4:00am. It's rare during the winter when I get to fish two days in a row (weather). Otherwise I stay on a friend's houseboat or maybe Cypress Cove if the rates are around $59.00. It's just so easy to walk inside and take a shower and not have to even get in the car after 12 hours on the water.
You're right on about women folk getting bored down there. That can be a tricky one.
