Here's a great use for WD-40. We all know about 3M's marine caulk "5200." It makes a damn mess all over the place, and wiping it up is just as messy. It doesn't come off of anything....until you use WD-40! Spray down the squished-out 5200 with WD-40 and you can make a nice clean bead with your finger, just like you were working silicone with a water-wetted finger.

To clean up the rest of the 5200 that's gotten all over you and everything else, use WD-40 and a towel--paper or cloth.
