Exactly. The 2nd angler didn't remember where he re-caught the tagged fish? That's odd. I'm not implying that you forgot. Maybe something's getting lost in translation here.
It's no big deal.
So, say I catch a tagged sailfish. I SHOULD clip the tag? Why not just get the info and let the fish go with the tag? That way, more data can be collected if that fish is dumb enough to eat a third hook.
