I think if you are going to use a bead, reel it up tight. But IMO your better off going to the backside clamp on the reel with a snap swivel. You will get that bend in the line going around your tip, but that does not hurt the line at all. Also this keeps another 5 feet of line off the reel. When you leave 200+lb mono around a 50, it makes your leader like a spring. When I get home i take me wind-on off the reel and rubberband it with 10'' loops and let it hang there (thanks tek) And your wind on is much easier to fish next trip
