Yes... no cable hummmmm with spectra.

Instead of taking the cable off, we typically crimp a swivel to the end of the cable and attach 100 to 300 yards of 130# JBHC on top.

A nice benefit to using spectra is that if your fish runs forward and wraps the mono on the spectra, the mono will cut the spectra allowing you to still catch that fish. Where cable will cut the mono and you'll only wonder about how big that fish was instead of weighing her in.
