Default Why the mystery??

I did not see the now infamous picture but do not understand the mystery surrounding it. I'm in total agreement with what Mark posted and I quote him:

"I'm with TT on this one. And furthermore, to say RJ does not share his knowledge is a gross injustice to what he has given back to the fishing community. Most of us wouldn't have a clue about daytiming if it wasn't for him sharing his expertise at numerous seminars and meetings. On top of that, if you look at almost every tournament brochure around here, he is a sponsor." Swordstalker/Nauti Girl

RJ earns his living by catching swordfish and selling gear in his shop. Since no laws were broken why the haste in zapping the picture? We do have a category to post under called "Swordfish Reports" so if the moderators could explain and not leave us guessing it might be a better approach. With no explanation you are going to get every speculation imaginable which can be even worse. Remember that whatever the number of fish landed I'm certain all were called in as required by law. From everything I have read the recreationals, as well as any commercials in our area, are being urged to call in every single fish as we are not filling our quota and could lose some of it to a foreign country. Nothing is supposed to stay secret unless people choose to not say anything.

Sorry Eric/Mike - I don't really understand this one as seems to be the case with others as well. Not trying to start a s---storm just want to understand the stance that the forum is taking on something like this. Information about catches helps all of us when we fish and I always thought that was what the forum was about. There have been other pictures of large catches of fish that were not removed - way invoke the zap on RJ one of the best, and most willing to share, guys around? Harry
