All good suggestions. However, the place I keep my bait pen I can only get to on the weekends. Not feeding the baits for 5 days tends to keep them on the thin side after a while. Although they will live, I am sure they are not as healthy and as lively as they should be. I thought a timer controlled feeder (like one used in aquaculture) would work and I could set it up to feed them during the week. All of the fish products mentioned above they will eat, the problem is keeping the food for the 5 days while I am not there to feed them. The aquaculture companies only seem to carry flakes and pellets (both sinking and floating). I am not sure if they will eat these. If I were to try one I would think that the smaller baitfish would probably go for the flakes and the larger the pellets, but who knows.
