Cruis Along Gulf StreamI have a 1958 cruis along custom 31 and agree that it is the best. I bought her in Oct 1979 and have cruised her to atlantic city, nj, Massachusetts, block island, ct shore, and up to lake huron by way of lake erie. I repowered her with 318 chryslers from 283 grays. the cockpit was redone in teak boards and i added a flybridge. wherever i go she get looked at and a thumbs up

Cruis Along Gulf StreamThe 29' Cruise Along Gulf Stream, powered by twin Grey 238HP V-8's was the last wood boat I owned & in that size range,I rank it as good as the 2 Bertram 28's I have owned since. I completly stripped & refinnished my 1961 Gulf Stream in 1969, repainting it using the Century green accent stripes. I replaced all the cockpit mohogany cover boards & trim with teak, as well as planking the flybridge & cockpit with teak. The blue interior was wooded & redone in eggshell white. The Grey marine engines (& Onan 2.5KW gen set) were shipped to Balto. from Sandusky,Ohio for complete rebuild & upgrade to 238HP spec. After resteration, this finely designed & made boat drew attention at any dock she was parked. Pics available from email@example.com. If I could locate the factory prints, I would build a dublicate!
