Cruis Along - 28 Cruis Along Gulfstream: Cruis Along Gulf Stream The 29' Cruise Along Gulf Stream, powered by twin Grey 238HP V-8's was the last wood boat I owned & in that size range,I rank it as good as the 2 Bertram 28's I have owned since. I completly stripped & refinnished my 1961 Gulf Stream in 1969, repainting it using the Century green accent stripes. I replaced all the cockpit mohogany cover boards & trim with teak, as well as planking the flybridge & cockpit with teak. The blue interior was wooded & redone in eggshell white. The Grey marine engines (& Onan 2.5KW gen set) were shipped to Balto. from Sandusky,Ohio for complete rebuild & upgrade to 238HP spec. After resteration, this finely designed & made boat drew attention at any dock she was parked. Pics available from hwiley3@aol.com. If I could locate the factory prints, I would build a dublicate!
