Chris-Craft Corp - Chris-Craft Yacht Home: 1987 Chrsi Craft Yacht Home
The Chris Craft is a boat that due to its unique style seems to be one of the most overlooked high quality older boats available. These boats were initially a Uniflite designed and manufactured boats. Chris Craft purchased Uniflite in 1986 and rebranded the remaining production line boats as Chris Crafts and applied a few interior design and fixture changes more in line with the Chris Craft Standards. Prior to 85 the Yacht was sold under the Uniflite brand. We have a 1987 Chris Craft with twin 340HP mercruisers. Ours is equipped with a 9.5kw Westerbeke generator for those times away from a dock and you want all of the amenties of home.
We have had only to perform routine maintenance and all of the original systems are fully functioning and operating strong. Everywhere you touch it is solid provides that high quality feel. The interior is teak and teak plywood with and plush carpet. The galley is equipped with an electric stove, ice maker. Nutone in-counter blenderand NorCold refrigerator which are all original equipment and fully operational. The central vacuum unit was missing the attachments when we purchased the boat so we have not used it but works when activated.
Forward this is a twin bunk bed in the V berth and a full head with hand held shower.
The stateromm has a near quessn size bed, full head with shower and bath tub. All heads are electric flush and full size porcelain bowls.
The 20 gallon water heater is more than adequate. A 100 gal holding tank, 250 gal water and 350 gal fuel tank provides reasonable cruising range for short trips.
The upper deck is very spacious and can easily hold 10 - 15 people in comfort. We have two deck chairs and a small table that provides a nice morning coffee spot for two The storage on this boat is amazing. There are lockers and holds throughout the boat with easy access and very good use of available space.
She handles very well and the twin 340 pushed her along at 10 knts at 2500 RPM. We have had her up to over 20 knts.
We were looking at small houseboats when we cam across this boat. For the money and the quality there was no comparison to what was on the market at the time we were looking.
The downsides are this boat is setup for 4 people. Much more you will get a crowded feeling. You will see many of these boats with a small white couch as there is very limited access to bring in new furniture or get out what is there.
The entertaining will be on the upper deck and will require a lot of up and down.
If you are looking for a dock slip house boat than this is probably not your boat. If you are looking for something you can take out and explore or find that cove to get away than this is the right boat for you.

Chris-Craft Corp - Chris-Craft Commander Tournament Fisherman: 45' Chris Craft Commander Tournament Fisher
Timeless styling, and probably the best fiberglass construction ever, make this boat worth investing dollars in. If one is looking for an older boat to restore, this model has good bones. I invested quite a bit of dollars in mine, but now I have a boat that looks great and runs strong.
