Biggest 32 around

The 32 Aft Cabin replaced a 35 Sedan, and while smaller oustide, it is bigger inside.

Pluses include the seperate stall shower in the head, double door refer and large galley and nice sized salon with room for sofa and two chairs.

Down sides include the twin beds (replaced with a double offset to starboard in the last year of production), narrow side decks and the up / down traversing required in any aft cabin.

Ride is good in calmer waters, and acceptable in rougher seas. The hull is pretty flat aft, so using the trim tabs to drop the bow allows slicing through waves instead of pounding over them.

We replaced the factory 9 x 18 inch trim tabs with 30" units to improve low speed planing and add lift aft. We also remodeled the aft stateroom to match the 1989 model with double bed.

Bed sits high off deck because of fuel tank under it so it's a bit of a climb.

Twin 305 Crusaders give decent performance (15-18 knot cruise around 3000-3200 rpm) but 350's are faster with almost no additional gas use.

Engine room access is tight but workable.

The boat has tons of storage, although we'd like more storage for wet lines and fenders. Electronics can not be flush mounted at either helm, but bracket mounting workd fine.

Over all a good boat.
