good Alaska small cruiser

The Bayliner 2859 with high freeboard and cockpit gunnel heights and repowered with brand new FNM 250HPEP diesel and Bravo III sterndrive is an economical alternative to larger much higher priced cruisers for the waters of Southeastern Alaska. It is great for a family of up to four comfortably with two separate sleeping areas, well equiped galley, separate head--all a step down from fully enclosed control station with seating area and table and 360 deg views.

The 2859 repowered per above has a 17-19kt cruise at 6-8gph depending on loading. It handles up to 3' seas easily and above that to around 25kt winds can handle fine at 12knt.
