enough to be trailered yet big enough to make a
day on the water comfortable. Includes all the
features of much larger boats at an affordable
price. Ours includes the larger 250 hp engine and
Bravo III outdrive that features twin counter-
rotating props that provide more effective power
transfer, allowing the boat to get up on plane
quicker. We bought our 2355 new and over eleven
years it has only required minimal maintenance.
The carb has been rebuilt once in that time but
other than that it has been basic oil changes,
plugs and wires. The materials have held up well
and the boat is still in excellent shape. Have
been very happy with this boat!Rating - ![]() Reviewed on Jul 08, 2010 by nick from washington good overall boat for the priceThis is my second year with this boat. It has the 4.3 mercury in it with a 4bbl. I think it is rated at 205 hp. Anyway, I bought it used of course and have had some problems getting it to run right. Found out this year, I am guessing from bad gas because it was stored for 3 years without use, that is had a clogged jet in the carb. It was iddling horrible. Took hours to mess with it..the mixes etc to figure it out. Thought it might need a carb rebuild, but in the end running a bunch of carb cleaner through the removed air/fuel screw hole did the trick. Runs great. I then took it out and tried to get up on plane. Was smooth, but rpms were way high. Next found I had spun a hub on the prop. Now that I had that worked out and replaced prop, took it out last weekend and it goes great. Got up on plane even in choppy water fairly easily! As far as the boat overall other then that, not a bad little rig. Looks nice and was fairly well taken care of. Considering a new 245(current model of the 2355) would run around 60-70k, I believe 10 to 20 for this boat is a bargain. It is not fancy, but looks nice and is modern style wise and functional. Overall it is a pretty well built rig. And of course, not bayliner or mercruisers fault on the engine and prop issues.=-) I did have to replace the battery box and all the battery cables. This is one thing that is a good idea if you are buying any kind of boat that is not new. I am looking forward now to a boat that I can go get into and start up and go somewhere without issues for the rest of the summer! I have definately earned this through many hours tinkering with it.=-) |
