Bayliner - Bayliner Explorer (26'1"): 23' Explorer I have a 23' Explorer, 16-17 knots at cruise and 21.6 at WOT with the 4-cylinder AQ120B.
I'm using a 15-1/2x13 prop, have a pair of house batteries mounted in the v-berth, and keep the water tank full. It makes the boat ride and handle much better all around.
Slow down to 10-12 kts and following sea's or seas at the beam aren't as bad as when "up".
These are not planning hulls, but semi-displacement. Great crappy weather boat for the PNW. At the age, gotta watch for Rot. Not so much for bad construction, but these are pushing 30 years old and wood is wood. Will fix when I have issues, worth the effort. Reviewed by Ryan on Aug-08-2011 | Rating: |
Bayliner - 1950 Capri: Great Boat This boat is great for the family and friends. We load this boat down with 7+ people and pull skis tubes kneeBoard and you cant slow her down. A few of us are not real little and it will pull two at once on a tube of 425 Pounds. with every one runs 35mph two people 40-48 depending on water. dont need any faster than that. use it at lakes and ocean bays.
Gas runs all day and is easy to work on if you ever have to. besides a belt etc.. Good 3.0 Reviewed by Justin Smith on Jun-09-2011 | Rating: |

Bayliner - 2355 Ciera Sunbridge: Great family boat! The 2355 is a nice mid-range size cruiser. Small
enough to be trailered yet big enough to make a
day on the water comfortable. Includes all the
features of much larger boats at an affordable
price. Ours includes the larger 250 hp engine and
Bravo III outdrive that features twin counter-
rotating props that provide more effective power
transfer, allowing the boat to get up on plane
quicker. We bought our 2355 new and over eleven
years it has only required minimal maintenance.
The carb has been rebuilt once in that time but
other than that it has been basic oil changes,
plugs and wires. The materials have held up well
and the boat is still in excellent shape. Have
been very happy with this boat! Reviewed by Steve Johnston on May-07-2011 | Rating: |
Bayliner - Bayliner Bodega Cruiser: Most boat for the money Recently bought a 1983 Bodega after looking for a
boat for three years. 360 degree visibility from
both upper and lower helm, huge salon, three
staterooms, two heads, tons of room on board!
Best part is newer engines and tranny's. I get a
bit better than 1 MPG at 8 knots and she will get
on plane and do 32 knots by GPS!!! Price...30,000.
I dare you to find another boat this big at twice
the price. For six months I have cleaned up
wiring, put in new radar, GPS, stereo, carpet, and
detailed out the boat. With a total of 40K into
her, including sales tax, I am looking forward to
summer cruising on a reasonable budget. With all
the money I saved by buying this boat I can afford
to actually take her places. Plenty of people
still trying to get too much for their boats but
if you are patient you can really get a deal on
these gems. Reviewed by Bill on Mar-22-2011 | Rating: |
